We welcomed our friends from NJ4S for some wonderful activities in recognition of Violence Awareness Week!
Our elementary students participated in a fun inclusion activity during lunch, where each student decorated a puzzle piece representing what inclusion means within our school community. We'll be putting all the pieces together to create one larger display, reminding us that we all play an important part in making FES a welcoming, supportive, and united school community!
Our middle schoolers enjoyed an interactive assembly focused on handling conflict, developing healthy coping skills, and building positive relationships. Students were engaged, participated in meaningful conversations, and had a great time!
We also had a special visit from Officer Lugo, who stopped by to show support from the Frenchtown Police Department!
A big thank-you to Ms. Smith, NJ4S, our teachers, and FPD for helping us reinforce the importance of kindness, inclusion, teamwork, and making positive choices. It's always a great day to be a Terrier! #alwaysaterrier🐾

What a special moment in Frenchtown Elementary School history! We were incredibly proud to see our Terriers shine during our Centennial Celebration, from singing proudly in the choir to sharing their talents in the band. You represented FES with such enthusiasm and Terrier pride!

We were honored to welcome County Commissioner Shaun Van Doren, County Clerk Mary Melfi, Interim County Executive Superintendent Juan Torres, and Council President Michelle Liebtag, who each shared special words and reflections about our community and the history of Frenchtown Elementary School.
The celebration featured a Centennial Proclamation, officially recognizing this historic day. Commissioner Van Doren presented the proclamation to Kate Nugent, Frenchtown Board of Education President, and Frenchtown Mayor Brad Myhre coordinated it.

🐾 As part of our Week of Respect, Sergeant Eccles stopped by this week to join Mr. H. as they read a book to students about kindness, being a good friend, and treating our classmates with respect. Then, they took the message into gym class! Students incorporated a little movement while modeling good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect alongside their teachers.
